Mapping The Mobile Network

About

Mapping The Mobile Network is a project run by The Mobile Network, supported by launch partner Tektronix Communications.

It aims to build up a picture of the mobile network, listing the elements in the network, showing the relationships between those elements, and listing the companies that supply the products, systems and services in the network.

FAQ:

The map is not complete. Why is the map not complete?

This is an ongoing project to map the network, and the ecosystem of companies that supply it. That is why we have called it Mapping The Mobile Network. We are starting with the Radio Interface section, so people can get an idea of what we are trying to do. We will quickly add other sections, elements and more detail. You can help us with that.

I would like to see an adjustment to the map. How do I go about discussing that?

Please just Contact Us and tell us what you think could be amended. We are always looking for feedback and discussion. We view this as a process, rather than a static portrayal.

My company is not listed. How do you decide what companies to list in each section? How do I get my company and products listed?

Quite simple: send us your company information, using the submission button. Any company can submit its details.

Do you plan on producing a complete network map?

Yes, we do. Once we have a critical mass of network elements built up we will consolidate those parts into a complete map, which we will produce in different formats in partnership with launch partner Tektronix Communications. Our first edition will be released in 2014.
